A.W.A.N.A. is an acronym taken from 2 Timothy 2:14 which says, “Study to show thy self approved, a workman who is (are) not ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”

The goal of the AWANA program is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ, and train them to serve Him.

Puggles – 2’s & 3’s

Puggles is designed for toddlers who’s parents are working in AWANA or are attending Bible study or Discipleship classes on campus. Workers are provided with a curriculum with age appropriate activities that encourage development in toddlers.

Cubbies – Ages 3 & 4 (Pre-K 5’s)

Cubbies learn to memorize scripture (or parts of scripture) as a group all of the children move at the same pace. There are sections in the clubber participation books that involve parent interaction to help children learn scripture both at home and at club.

Sparks – Kindergarten thru 2nd Grade

Sparks are a high energy group! These boys and girls are usually the biggest part of the AWANA attendance. Sparks begin memorizing Scripture out of their handbooks from the first night of club to the last. Each child works at their own pace and often times readers help non-readers with learning what they must memorize. You will be surprised what your youngster can memorize!

T & T – 3rd grade thru 6th grade

Truth & Training Clubs are divided into boys and girls clubs. The handbooks include memorizing Scripture as well as other missions focused projects like meeting and interviewing a missionary.

The club night is divided into 3 parts. Handbook time, game time and council time. Each week the clubbers enjoy these times divided into their team colors and learn both individual accomplishment as well as team goals.

TREK – 7th & 8th Graders

Trek is designed to take middle schoolers through a handbook that includes scripture memorization as well as other fun activities that guide middle-schoolers through some of the difficult to navigate tween issues like peer pressure, self image and how to recognize what God has to say to us.

During the AWANA year, there are several extra activities that clubbers have a chance to take part in.

The AWANA Grand Prix is a slot car style race where clubbers build and paint their own race car to race on our custom track.

The Bible Quiz is a regional event where clubbers from various churches compete in scripture memorization.

The AWANA Games (Formerly called the AWANA Olympics) is a regional event where clubbers from various churches compete against other teams in AWANA Games activities.

(Each of these opportunities requires participation in the AWANA clubs on a week to week basis
and in some cases, certain progress in handbook memorization is required for participation.)
